Big Question 2.0

So I had to think a lot about my big question because it was something I would have to fully learn and analyze till I found my answer but I realized my first big question was really abstract and I didn't know how to research such an idea and plus I wasn't as interested in it anymore. Recently I have been very interested in the STEAM fields and have been considering studying engineer, so from there I decided to change my big question to something based around that field. That is why I have now changed my big question to be: How do structural design effect a building's ability to withstand an earthquake?
