Now I Remember
A strategy I used to remember the "Richard Cory" was repetition and then slowly quizzing myself by saying what I just repeated out loud. This way of memorization my not be the most efficient way but it worked for me and that's what I needed it to do. Although if I was asked on the spot to recite "Richard Cory" right away I would probably still stumble but I would still know it. See to me the more times you practice something, the more it becomes muscle memory, but at the same time hopefully not to the point where you don't understand whatever it is you memorized and become a robot. That's why it is sometimes best not to necessarily memorize something because it could lose its meaning/purpose, so instead understand what it is and learn from it.
