Soldiers of Mis/Fortune

The author's tone in the novel Catch-22 towards soldiers is kind of disappointed/harsh. I believe it's this tone because the way the author describes the main characters like Yossarian and the rest of the soldiers with him is how coward each and everyone of them are in their own way, even if they don't admit it. However this makes Catch-22 more relatable because we picture these "war heroes" as these selfless, dauntless, and brave types of people that usually "everyday people" can't relate with because it's just not how a typical human works. So with author, Joseph Heller, he really brought the characteristics to someone the readers can relate to and understand which is how Heller uses satire with the perspective on soldiers we picture versus the ones he describes.
