Too Sick -Or Well- To Die

In the novel Catch-22 Yossarian likes his "syndrome" because it gives him a reason to be "sick" and not do missions in the war which is why he wants to keep it. Even though Yossarian is a soldier to fight in the war he is finding anyway he possible can in order to stay out of this war.
