So This Guy Goes For a Walk

We've started reading Young Goodman Brown and there are many thoughts that were triggered while reading this piece. For example the story sets off in a awkward position. We meet this couple who are saying goodbye to one another because the man named Goodman Brown apparently has to go somewhere. So right away as the reader, I have many questions like who are they? Where is he going? As I continued reading it mentions the wife's name, Faith, and mentioning the fact that she wears a pink ribbon in her hair. So automatically it shows a sign of significance because it keeps being repeated but as to what it symbolizes, I still don't know. Now as the story continued things became more and more mysterious making the tone feel extremely eerie because there are actions and thoughts that have no explanation. Although I haven't finished reading this story it already triggers my curiosity as to the purpose and ending of this story.
