The Making of an Essay

To be blunt my experience for writing an essay so far has been overall stressful. Now as junior in high school, after doing the same monotonous process of writing an essay since around the 4th grade (that may be exaggerated, I don't remember when I started) the dread of composing a structured essay still hasn't gone away. Even though I repeat the process so many times, I still have yet to written a "perfect 100%" essay. I believe this is because every time you start to get comfortable with one teacher's style of structuring an essay, it never lasts long because then a new school year will start and then you have to start all over again from rock bottom because now we have to learn to write the way the new specific teacher wants it, and it's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING! After this class today I did learn a few things, first that I'm not alone when it comes to dreading essays, my peers around me all know the suffering. Secondly, that yes in my English class there are plans to look at writing an essay in a new perspective, but yet again I'll  have to learn how to write in a new style that I'll probably have to get comfortable with and then keep in my back pocket as I'll start all over in my new English class next year. In all, I know I still sigh at the word essay but hopefully with this new "perspective" I'll be able to truly understand what my English teacher means when he defined "Essay are way to try and make ourselves understood".
