Gatsby Notes and Thoughts on Ch. 8

-Gatsby tells Nick that he waited in front of Daisy's house till 4 in the morning when she finally went to her room to turn off the light.
-Gatsby said nothing happened between Tom and Daisy
-Nick suggested that Gatsby should leave town and go away but Gatsby refuses as he apparently "needs" to be there for Daisy since they love each other
-Gatsby describes the first time he had to leave Daisy back when he left for the war. The way he described his meeting with Daisy and what they did almost sounds oddly disturbing as he fell in love with her after one night but they didn't do much talking. However from that one night he was ready/knew that he needed to spend the rest of his life with her.
-redolent:
-Gatsby real purpose was bc he loved a girl and wanted to impress her
-The gardener interrupts about the pool because it shows how the weather foreshadows the book (its fall season so plants are dying and falling just like how Myrtle died) Could more leaves fall?
-Then Gatsby insist on swiminning in his own pool at least once since he has never before which later becomes important because it could possibly foreshadow his last.
-So later that day as Gatsby goes for a swim George Wilson (Myrtle's husband) comes out from the shadows and shoots Gatsby and then himself
