Notes and Thoughts on Gatsby Ch. 5

-Gatsby tries to offer Nick a confidential job but Nick refuses
-Nick invites Gatsby and Daisy over for tea (as promised)
-Gatsby's house becomes lively with lights one day and a greenhouse another because you can tell in his tendencies that he is nervous/anxious
-Gatsby's speech is shaky and unconfident that you can tell he is extremely nervous to meet Daisy
(He can't start to speak, his speech stutters, vacant eyes, circles underneath, tries to leave)
- It was raining once Daisy arrived and drizzled when they barely started to talk. but when Nick re-entered the room he saw that the air was happier and that is stopped raining which coincides with what happened between Gatsby and Daisy since they seemed more relax and happier as if something was finally said and cleared the air
-After this Nick described Gatsby as glowing
-This use of the weather is to show the vibe/mood of the current situation but more importantly the way the weather was described is exactly how Gatsby was feeling so when it said the Gatsby was glowing the rain suddenly went away and there were tiny rays of sunlight
-Daisy was emotional
-Nick then leaves Gatsby's house un-noticed as Jay and Daisy dance
